Mr. Breed has accumulated over 20 years of experience through a broad spectrum of roles in commercial finance, investment banking, and private equity. Prior to the formation of Emerald Crest Capital, he was a Principal and largest shareholder of Diamond Creek Capital. Prior to that, he was a Principal and Founder of Breakthrough Capital LLC, a financial advisory firm serving the needs of middle market companies. Immediately prior to Breakthrough Capital, Mr. Breed was Vice President of Finance for Gores Technology Group, a leading private equity firm based in West Los Angeles. He has also worked for Greyhound Financial Corp., Finova Capital Corporation, Bank of America Business Credit, Security Pacific Business Credit, and began his career as an analyst at Kidder, Peabody & Co.

During his career he has been involved in the underwriting of hundreds of middle-market commercial asset-based and cash flow reliant financings for acquisition financing, refinancing, and growth financing. He has performed an array of roles during his lending career including Marketing Officer, Credit Officer, Credit Committee Member, Underwriting Manager, Senior Underwriter, and Field Auditor.

During his time in private equity, Mr. Breed negotiated acquisitions, performed due diligence and raised capital to provide for eight acquisitions of companies as large as $800 million in revenues. Additionally, he managed the finances of a portfolio of approximately 20 companies. Mr. Breed is also a principal, significant shareholder, and board member of several private companies involved in technology licensing and finance. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Business and Economics from University of California at Los Angeles and resides in Southern California.
